Course Description


Objectives of the Course:

This course is designed to give students a working knowledge of analytic geometry, limit, the derivative, and the integral.

Prerequisites:

MA133 and MA134 with a minimum grades of ‘C’; or 2 units high school algebra, 1 unit geometry, and 1 unit pre-calculus mathematics. Any required developmental mathematics courses must be completed before enrolling in this course.

This course will cover the following topics (5 hours)

Ø  Functions and Models: Sections 1.1-1.6

Ø  Limits and Derivatives: Sections 2.1-2.8

Ø  Differentiation Rules: Sections 3.1-3.11

Ø  Applications of Differentiation: Sections 4.1-4.9

Ø  Integrals: 5.1-5.5

Ø  Applications of Integration: Sections 6.1-6.3
