| The first visit; I'm six weeks old (shame about a smudge on the lens). But I think they liked me! |

"Chaco"?Chaco Canyon in Northwestern New Mexico was an important trade and cultural crossroads for the Anasazi Indians (Navajo for 'the Ancient Ones') during app. the 800 - 1000 A.D. period. The round rooms are the ceremonial Kivas. |

My first day home (January 1st,
2004). I'm curious, but it was a long trip. |

| Does he really want this sock, or is it some silly human game? |

| I agree; it's best to let sleeping dogs lie! |

| Sometimes I like to curl up with a good book - and then just doze off! |

| I can see that this 'going to school every day' thing will be really tough! |

| A little help from a nearby wall can go a long way to providing support in a time of need. Tummy rubs are free; that means you get to rub my tummy for no charge. |

| All this work makes a guy hungry again! |

| It was a little messy - but definitely worth it. |

Sure cats sit on mats, but dogs
can sit on mats too!

| Of course- logs are better for dogs |

| Some folks try to tell me my ears are rising? |

I'm a traveling kind'a dog! and I can sleep anywhere. |
| Now I have this 'stairs' thing figured out, the entire house is MY EMPIRE! |
| Close encounters of a feline kind. |
| This is NOT cowering, I tell you; I'm just watching alertly! |
Hey Pussy! That's my stuff!
| By the end of the first week of classes (Spring 2004), I had this whole college thing figured out. So it was time just to take over. My office hours are....ANY TIME! Notice how I'm getting bigger and the ears are pricking up: Jan 23rd - ten and a half weeks. |
| It's true - I am a growing lad! But they still seem to like me. |
My first Sierra Club outing.
Mom seems to think I need to run around before I get in the car! I can even get this ball thing in my mouth now - nearly! |
| They found this huge bowl somewhere - and seem to think I'll grow into it someday - but not yet. |
| I really enjoy this traveling deal...seeing new places, eating on the road...and sleeping in the car. They were looking for Eagles; my quarry was on the ground. |
| But I still think my favorite place to sleep is on the dirty laundry. Mmmm this stuff smells good! And it's sooo relaxing. |
| They have this idea that I should chase this green thing and bring it back to them...and all they do is sit on their butts and watch me. Kind of tires a guy out! But I am catching on. |
| Jan 26th: eleven weeks and counting. This is really comfortable! |
| My first snow. They're not out of focus - I'm just moving very fast! I call the game 'bull-dozer.' |

I soon grew out of that silly
little puppy bowl. But eating still leads to sleeping. And here I am (below) at twelve weeks! |

Going to school is not all fun
and games. Sometimes a guy actually has to work! But the laundry pile at home makes a great bed. |
