Student Research

The interests of my students are (or will be) diverse, ranging from the ecology of freshwater fishes, crayfishes and mussels, to the ecological and evolutionary genetics of marine fishes. I am open to a broad array of ideas, so do not hesitate to contact me about your potential research interests.

Daniel Brandt, Master of Natural Science. Thesis research: Redescription of Elacatinus evelynae, with a description of two new species of Elacatinus.

Thecla Gibson, Master of Natural Science. Thesis research: Genetics of lateral stripe coloration in Elacatinus gobies.

Erik Jameson, Master of Natural Science. Thesis research: Phylogenetic analysis of the evolution of hovering behavior in the goby genus Elacatinus.

Andrew Satterlee, Master of Natural Science. Thesis research: Decapod Ccustaceans of Mbaracayu Forest Biosphere Reserve, Paraquay, with emphasis on the endemic southern South American freshwater crab genus Aegla.
