Description: Tips to maximize the use of new technologies while making the most effective use of the time investment. Emphasis on time and effort involved in creating web-based materials and the benefits and teaching learning value of effective course websites.

Our thesis: We don't get all of the advantage that we might from tech-enabling because of the time required to implement and manage the technology.

To get us started, Let's propose three approaches to coping with
the problem of time investment. The three all partly overlap, but
they do offer distinct characteristics:

(TS) Time shifting: move activity from high-P time to low-P time

(RL) Resource Leveraging - collect resources for synergy

(A) Automation - let machines do the tedious stuff!
